Ayurveda Sangha

Once a month Ayurveda aficionados connect over a potluck supper; followed by a continuing education presentation/discussion on an Ayurveda topic of interest. The Sanghas are generally on the 3rd Friday of every month. They begin at 5:30 pm, with the presentation starting around 7pm. They rotate through different WAMA members Ayurvedic Clinics and homes providing the opportunity to observe the creativity of other practitioners.

April Loraine Wilson, LMP, CAP presented on Marma Therapy at her home in Seattle.
She put together a Marma demonstration and packet with different ways to treat the Marmas. Such as Angi-Karma(heat application), cold application, topical basti and Marma massage with essential oils. The main focus for the Marma points chosen were the affect they have on the gastrointestinal tract (GI tract). She did a hour detailed demonstration.

 Dr's Virender and Shailinder Sodhi (www.ayurvedicscience.com) hosted the Sangha at Ayush Herbs (www.ayush.com) in Redmond.

Dr Virender Sodhi gave a powerful presentation on Ayush Herbs and its products. Ayush is an Ayurvedic Herb company, created by the 4 Sodhi brothers, that farms their own herbs around India, then processes them at Dharma Shala and distribute them via their warehouse in Redmond. Dr Sodhi included numerous case examples of the effectiveness of these products in combination with a full Ayurvedic treatment protocol with clients over his 28 years of clinical practice.
